Trisha Yearwood On How She Got Thin

NEW YORK (April 19, 2013)--Trisha Yearwood lost 30 pounds in four months and she did it her own way.

She created her own diet and stuck with it, even when she didn’t.

Yearwood told People magazine she used to buy every magazine that showed someone who had dropped 30 pounds, but she didn't want to face the fact that dieting is hard work.

Yearwood designed her own low-fat, low-sugar diet and she tries to cook all her food for the week.

She says in the past, if she ate something she shouldn't, such as a cheeseburger, she would figure she blew it and then eat 20 cheeseburgers, but now when she slips, she just exercises a little more.

Husband, Garth Brooks, has lost 20 pounds too.
