NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 19, 2013)--Willie Nelson grew up in Abbott near West and still owns a home about five miles away, so it’s no surprise he’s got his neighbors on his mind in the wake of the small town’s deadly and destructive fertilizer plant explosion.
Nelson says an upcoming concert will be a benefit for the victims of the blast.
He said there are "a lot of our friends and loved ones and neighbors" in the area and that residents will rebound from the destruction.
The concert is April 28 in Austin.
