HERSHEY, Pa. (July 12, 2012)—Farm Aid, the country's longest-running benefit concert, is headed back to Pennsylvania this fall.
The annual concert will be held on Sept. 22 at Hersheypark and all the regulars are expected to be there, including Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews.
Farm Aid has raised more than $40 million to help keep family farmers on their land.
Matthews, a Farm Aid board member who owns a farm and vineyard in Virginia says farmers who've been helped by the organization have come up to him on the street to thank him.
Matthews calls it "heartbreaking," the way modern agriculture is destroying small and mid-sized farmers, and he feels like he's "doing something worthwhile."
