Murder Charge Filed In Central Texas Shooting Death
A man charged with murder in a weekend shooting in a small Central Texas town was free Tuesday afternoon on $250,000 bond.

(November 13, 2007)—Michael Leroy Berryhill was free Tuesday afternoon on $250,000 bond after he was arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of 25-year-old William “Billy” Joe Carrillo of McGregor.

Carrillo was shot once early Sunday morning at a residence in the 100 block of Boone St. in Oglesby.

Deputies arrested Berryhill at the scene.

They also arrested the victim’s brother, Jesus Carrillo, 29, who was charged with terroristric threat, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

He was later released after posting $10,500 bond.

Deputies recovered a weapon at the residence.
