The high bid of $96,100 for the former Waco-area home of the grandparents of pop stars Jessica and Ashlee Simspon evidently fell short of the minimum Thursday on e-Bay.

Bidding on the 30-year old, 2,540-square foot house in the Harris Creek subdivision ended early Thursday morning.

E-Bay indicated Thursday evening that the reserve was not met, meaning the high bid fell short of the minimum set for the house.

The home, which was featured on a segment of MTV’s “Newlyweds,” has been in the family for more than 20 years, according to Waco-based marketing and Web site design company Jazzamo! Marketing, which announced the posting ten days ago.

“Jessica and Ashlee practically grew up there,” the company said, “spending many weekends and holidays at the home.”
