Rescuers Free Woman From Wreckage Of Overturned Truck

MCLENNAN COUNTY (February 9, 2012)—Rescuers had to cut a woman from the wreckage of her pickup truck Thursday after the truck overturned and trapped her inside.

The 61-year-old woman was taken to Providence Health Center.

Information about her injuries wasn’t available.

A Department of Public Safety trooper was sent at around 11:40 a.m. Thursday to the 16000 block of Wortham Bend Road in response to the accident.

The trooper said the woman evidently lost control of her pickup truck while rounding a curve and the truck left the roadway and overturned, trapping her inside.

Rescuers from the China Spring Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to free her from the wreckage.
