(March 27, 2008)--Dallas can't shut down a strip club just because a 12-year-old runaway danced nude at the site.

The city ordinance that regulates sexually oriented businesses does not allow authorities to revoke the license of such a business for employing someone under 18.

Investigators say over a two-week period last year the sixth-grader danced at Diamonds Cabaret.

Authorities also found a 17-year-old girl working in the club in January.

Operators of the Diamonds Cabaret did not immediately comment.

Twenty-seven-year-old Demonica Abron, who worked as a stripper, and 22-year-old David Bell are charged with felony sexual performance of the child.

Both are also accused of engaging in organized crime.

Bell is accused of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and aggravated kidnapping.

He's held on $450,000 bond.

Abron faces a prostitution charge.

Revelations about the club surfaced this week after undercover officers discovered two teenage girls working as prostitutes at another Dallas nightclub.

Police are trying to determine whether a 13-year-old girl accused of luring her teenage friend into prostitution induced other girls as well.

Undercover officers investigating reports of alcohol being served at the club after hours discovered the teenagers early Saturday.

Police say one teen approached an officer and made a deal to perform a sex act for money.

Both girls were taken into custody.

Neither is being named because they are juveniles, but one of the teens is accused of compelling prostitution.

That's a felony charge that involves causing "by any means a person younger than 17 years to commit prostitution."

Her friend, also 13, faces a prostitution charge.

Authorities declined to comment on how the girls got into the club.

I am owner of the Naked Harem in El Paso Texas and the City and state od Texas set us up with under age dancers one was 15 years old and her Mother was bringing her to work she had 3 ID's The manger Richard Hamn said she was of age. She called the police because she said someone did not pay for a table dance, the police came and left the at the club all night. The girl never came back to work. The Police, vice, crime police came 2 days later and said we hired a 15 year old. We found out that our 2 Male mangers were working for the police they were the ones hiring the under age dancers. Phyllis Woodall went to court and the lawyer she hired did a bad job it was like he was working for the prositution side. She got 16 years and is on appeal David Botsford is her lawyer. They set us up because of the city ordiance 0f 2003,the city was being un fair because two other clubs did not have to obey the ordiance because they had won 2 million dollar law suite. against the city.

Ok...how obvious is it that when someone can't "remember" their own birthday...maybe they're not of age!!!! The management of this club is a joke!!!

I agree that the 12yr old should not have been in the club, but who is to say the manager know how old the girl was? Now a days teenagers are looking older and older. Strip cluns have been around and they are not going anywhere so you can give that thought up! It's just entertainment if you are of legal age to enjoy it or dance there. I think that most of the women on here being negative must be the ones whos husband spends most of his time at a strip club! Just learn to entertain your husband then he might enjoy you more.

The sad thing is...if these young girls don't end up in a place like this, then they will end up on the streets. You tell me which one is safer. These places have been around since the wild west days and they aren't going away so the thing that everyone should do is......learn to deal with it and let your children know there are better places to go.

Don't you just love Lawyers! Pay them your money and you can almost get away with anything, even child prostitution.

Plenty of places go by the rules and don't do anything to bother the community. Just like everything out there SOME give ALL a bad name. And how do we know she didnt have a fake ID, 12yos have babies and now a days some look older, just like older girls sometimes look young. It happens. This is the parents fault if you really need someone to blame. PROSTITUTION CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE BY THE WAY THEY DON'T NEED A STRIP CLUB TO DO IT FROM. You people let it get you to excited, everyone wants to run everybody elses lives. I have a feeling "Sick of this's" husband visited one to many strip joints. lol

I am a Manager of an Gentlemen's club in Houston, and while I believe that an adult has the right to express themselves in any way they wish as long as it does not infringe on another's rights, it is idiots like this that give the industry as a whole a bad name. There are responsible club owners out there.

Maybe some illustrious folks will figure out a way to video the patrons of this club and post it on the internet to embarass them! Oh wait, shame no longer exists in our society! That, in and of itself, is a shame!

Posted by: me on Mar 28, 2008 at 05:25 PM
yes that is wrong for a 12 year old to be there working. but if you are over 18 you can do what you want. and name a man who have not been to one of the clubs.

Posted by: susiebw Location: kempner on Mar 28, 2008 at 10:08 AM
they need to shut them down, and change the city ordinance. The state needs to close them.

Posted by: p Location: mexia on Mar 28, 2008 at 09:16 AM
Shouldn't there be some law about promoting child porn in a business that could get this place shut down, MY GOSH!

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 28, 2008 at 08:31 AM
GIVE ME A BREAK THEY KNEW HOW OLD THOSE GIRLS WERE WHEN THEY OFFERED THEM A JOB.

Posted by: Rachel Location: Temple on Mar 28, 2008 at 12:45 AM
That ought to be able to close the sin house down immediately - no questions asked. Anyone can tell that a 12 or 13 year old child is not an adult and they need to be held accountable for such disgusting behavior IMMEDIATELY!!! Where are you legislators - need something to get busy on - this would be a good one.
