Central Texas Power Line Debate Moves To Austin
Residents of two Central Texas towns are headed to Austin for a hearing that will decide the placement some high voltage power lines through the area.

(May 5, 2008)—Protests are planned for Monday morning outside a hearing in Austin that could decide whether Oncor Energy will be placing high voltage power lines through parts of Salado and Hutto.

The hearings, which start Monday at 9 a.m., are expected to last for three days. They are being held in Austin at the State Office of Administrative Hearings Building located at 15th Street and Lavaca Street.

The proposed route for the power lines stretches from Central Texas to San Antonio. Residents from all along the route are expected to be in attendance.
