(May 7, 2008)—The second of two men sought in the December shooting death of an 18-year-old Killeen High School student was in custody Wednesday.
Damiee Kendrick Johnson, 18, was arrested Tuesday at an apartment complex in Harker Heights by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and officers from the Temple, Killeen and Harker Heights police departments.
He was wanted in the Sept. 30, 2007 shooting death of Tyrone Haskins.
Haskins pronounced dead at Scott & White Hospital in after suffering multiple wounds in the shooting in the parking lot of a four-plex in the 4400 block of Alan Kent Drive in Killeen.
The U.S. Marshal’s Service arrested the other man wanted in the murder, Rico Doyle, 28, on Dec. 11, 2007 in New Orleans.
Doyle was a New Orleans native who moved to Texas after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Both men remained in the Bell County Jail Wednesday evening.
Johnson was also named in warrants charging evading arrest, failure to identify and possession of marijuana.
