(May 9, 2008)—Shauntel Mayo, 29, of Tyler, was sentenced to life in prison after a jury convicted her Thursday of forcing three siblings between the ages of seven and 10 to have sex with each other or perform sexual acts for members of an East Texas swingers club who paid to watch.
The jury deliberated for just four minutes before finding Mayo guilty of engaging in organized criminal activity and two counts of sexual performance of a child.
Jurors then decided on the life sentence.
Mayo must serve at least 25 years before she’s eligible for parole.
Mayo's boyfriend, Jamie Pittman, was convicted and sentenced to life in prison earlier this year.
The Tyler Morning-Telegraph reported some jurors cried during testimony in Mayo's trial.
Children testified how Mayo and other defendants began teaching them at age five how to dance and perform sex acts.
The children were given drugs, which the adults called "silly pills," to help them perform.
Four defendants still face trial.
