(May 17, 2008)—Baylor University awards degrees Saturday to a record number of graduates during spring commencement ceremonies.
The total number of combined undergraduate, graduate and seminar students receiving degrees is just more than 1,900.
That’s more than the 1,886 students who received degrees in the spring of 2004.
Commencement exercises are Saturday at Baylor’s Ferrell Center.
During the ceremony the Baylor Alumni Association will honor Priscilla Richman Owen, judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Dr. William M. Pinson Jr., Distinguished Visiting Professor of Christian Ethics at Baylor and executive director emeritus of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and Dr. Daniel Vestal, coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
