(June 16, 2008)--A worker died over the weekend after falling from a gas rig south of Fort Worth.

Jason Trichel fell Saturday evening near Crowley.

He was airlifted to a Fort Worth hospital, where he died about an hour later.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office said the 27-year-old worker died of head injuries.

A Tarrant County sheriff's spokesman says the cause of the fall isn't clear yet, but it said it appears to have been an accident.
