Waco police officers executed a series of search and arrest warrants on game rooms and residences Thursday, seizing dozens of gambling machines and arresting seven local residents.

Warrants were served at game rooms at 2024 W. Waco Dr., 1312 New Road, 3101 Robinson Dr., Elite Management at 105 S. 18th St. Suite #9 and 2911 Primrose #B, police said.

The raids came in connection with an ongoing investigation into illegal gambling in the city, police said.

Officers also searched residences at 3026 Maple, 5419 Lake Jackson and 12581 Chapel Road.

Officers seized 135 eight-liner machines and $100,000 in cash.

Arrested on warrants charging engaging in organized criminal activity were Tony Lee Martin, 58, who was also charged with possession of methamphetamine; Augustine Ruiz, 27, Concepcion Christina Moreno, 26; Connie Jo Lewis, 46; Charles Ward, 34, and Nichol Rodrigo Lucas, 22.

Tracy Gail Morgan, 39, was also arrested and was charged with possession of marijuana under two ounces, police said.

The McLennan County District Attorney's Office, the Agriplex Drug Task Force, the Woodway Department of Public Safety, the FBI and the IRS assisted with the raids Thursday, police said.
