(July 17, 2008)—Two Texas women were in jail Thursday evening after a fight escalated into a vehicle chase that ended in a crash that injured six.

Jessica DeShae Medford, 22, and Brittonie Annett Taylor, 18, both of Longview, are each charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a weapon and one count of felony failure to stop and render aid.

Bonds were set at $225,000 each.

The charges stem from the 30-mile chase that ended when the two women’s car rammed into a second vehicle, which crashed near Henderson, injuring all six occupants.

The Tyler Morning-Telegraph reported that several of the victims were in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

According to an affidavit, one of the six victims told investigators that Medford, who said was her boyfriend’s former girlfriend, was chasing them.

i was one of the ladies that were in the wreck; i was one of the 6 passangers! there was never a fight! you want the real story? i will tell you! we were in longview one night having fun! we pulled to a gas station and a girl starts hollering at us; telling my older sister that she was driving HER cadillac! THE girl hollering was my sister's boyfriend's ex wife! my sister ignored the woman and just drove off! i looked back and the girl was following behind us! and we did use cell phones! and we even stopped by the kilgore police department; the blinds were closed so they had no idea we were even there!! the woman was hollering telling my sister to get out to the vehicle! i told her not too; cuz we did not know what she was capable of! or did not know if she had a gun or anything!!! then the woman started getting out of her car and my sister took off on high way 259 where the woman chased us at a high speed of 110 mph! rammed her vehicle into our and we slammed into a tree!!!!!

Drama Queen, I have heard before the ratio that you mentioned 5 women to 1 man in Killeen. How is that true with Ft.Hood being the largest Military Installation in the world? Not to mention the Civillian men who are also in Killeen. Another question Why are a lot of men and women in Killeen turning to homosexual relationships? A few years back Ebony magazine did an article stating that Killeen, Texas had the most eligible bachalors. Where are they? I agree that we do have a shortage of decent men, my idea of a decent man ( list not in order) one who believes in being with one woman, goes to church, loves family. A non-drinker, non-smoker, non-club goer, non-curser. Intelligent, Educated, compassionate, God-fearing, honesty, humble, trustworthy and employed. Yes there are a lot of employed men in Killeen due to the military but have you noticed that Uncle Sam has lowered his standards he lets any and everybody in now, what is going on with the men???? Kwtx: a good story for you

WELL,remember people, to every one man there is five females,so it is becoming a very big problem these days, here in killeen I could be at the mall or wal-mart,and I will be walking with my husband, who I will admit is handsome, and women could careless that I am standing right next to him,so they be all in his face,so I really think the problem is we need more men in this world and maybe women, won't fight each other,it's hard these days to find a good man.I MEAN DON'T GET ME WRONG IT WAS WRONG WHAT THESE FEMALES were doing, but then again I can't act like I am a angel or something I have fought a few females over my man, which I admit now was STUPID,but like I SAID TO EVERY ONE MAN THERE IS FIVE WOMEN Waiting to snatch him up,so sometimes you have to do what you have to do,which means don't fight about,go find another man!!!!

these people are all idiots. they were willing to put anyone and everyone else at risk because they were mad at at some girl about some dude. this just demonstrates how incredibly low-class they are. they acted like ridiculous animals without thought any consequences of their actions. when did it become socially acceptable to behave in this manner? I am glad their bond is high, at least.

To k: What in the world does your advice about getting cell phones have to do with anything about this story, did you actually read the story? This is an unfortunate accident because two young girls, who were supposably be chased, crashed into the victims car and didn't stop to help. Some people have such studid comments that have nothing to do with anything about the stories.

They were 2 of the dumbiest criminals I have ever seen. It took her and her friend to run 6 people down? They were very stupid. They don't have cell phones where the are from? All of them have issues. They went through how many cities? Hazard County. They are facing some serious charges young and dumb maybe they will learn the boyfriend was not worth it there are too many other (single) men in this world. I don't see him coming to the rescue to bail them out of jail, and I pray that the victims recover from this and don't any of them lose their lives behind two dumb females. My advice to the 6 victims, invest in a cell phone pre-paid, pay as you go, contract something get a phone it is the American Way Now.Gesh!
