(August 5, 2008) - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died Saturday afternoon, after relatives discovered her in the pool of her Copperas Cove apartment complex.

Emergency Medical Services tried to use CPR to revive 22 year old Spc. Shameana Shaez Pulliam of Plainfield, New Jersey, but were unsucessful. Pulliam was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

I was a member of the WTB in Walter Reed at the same time she was a special friend to me, so strong when she was in so much pain i had the chance to talk to her a lot, great person with a lot of faith in God, talked about how much she loved her husband, talked about her little sister a lot. We had the chance to get real close as friends, we were there for each other when things were bad. My prayers are with her husband and her family. SHe was a great person and a great friend. God Bless Her!
