Murder-Suicide Victims Identified Save Email Print

(August 19, 2008)--Van Zandt County authorities have released the name of a man found dead with a woman near a house in what evidently was a murder-suicide.

Sheriff Pat Burnett identified the man Tuesday as Antonio Trujillo.

The sheriff's department had earlier identified the woman found slain Thursday as Maria Loredo.

Burnett says Trujillo had been rooming at the home near Colfax and the two evidently were not romantically involved.

The sheriff also says it appears Trujillo shot the woman, then himself.

Colfax is about 70 miles southeast of Dallas.
