Arrest Made In Convenience Store Robbery Save Email Print

(August 28, 2008)—Copperas Cove police said Thursday they’ve made an arrest in the armed robbery Tuesday night of the Sknny’s Convenience store at 102 W. Hwy 190.

The robber struck around 11 p.m. Tuesday, producing a handgun and demanding money.

He fled in a 1995 Dodge Ram pickup truck, police said.

After questioning a witness and reviewing store surveillance video, officers were able to identify a suspect, whom they located in the 500 block of Sunset Lane.

They arrested him and recovered the stolen money, police said Thursday.

Marcus Paul Leigh, 36 of Copperas Cove was charged in the robbery.

He was ordered held in lieu of $150,000 bond.
