Arrest Warrant Issued In Violent Robbery Of Pizza Deliveryman Save Email Print

A | A | A

(August 29, 2008)—An arrest warrant charging aggravated robbery has been issued for Monterrio Bett, 19, in connection with the Aug. 12 robbery of a Killeen pizza deliveryman who was struck in the head with a metal bat.

Killeen police said Friday Bett should be considered armed and dangerous.

The warrant stems from the Aug. 12 robbery in the 4400 block of Jeff Scott in Killeen.

The deliveryman told investigators a man who asked if he was delivering pizzas approached him around 11 p.m.

He said he told the man he was, and then as he got out of his vehicle to get the pizzas, the man hit him in the head and took his money, cell phone and keys.

The deliveryman, who was not identified, was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he was treated and later released.

Police said Bett also goes by the name Terry.

He’s black, stands about 5-foot-11, weighs about 180 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators are asking anyone who knows his whereabouts to call Killeen Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477 or the Killeen Police Department at (254) 501-8830.

To "W": I couldn't agree with you more. "Da World is Ugly" how can you sit there and downplay what this piece of trash did? He beat a man with a metal baseball bat for a few bucks and a cell phone, and you say he's not a savage? Maybe you should open your eyes to the reality of the situation instead of justifying what the criminal did to an innocent man just doing his job.

to "Da World Is Ugly" maybe he should put a baseball bat over your head a few times, then tell everyone he is not a savage, also if he had a job somewhere he probably would have not had the time to do this crime and i am also sick and tired of people making comments trying to lessen the act someone committed to another act by some other dumb, lazy hoodlum, get them out of society and into a zoo where they belong

The world is ugly and there is never an acceptable reason for why people do the things they do! But as far as Im concerned, he may be a criminal but he hasn't done anyhting near as terrible compared to that woman who cooked her baby in a microwave! Yes, the situation is stupid and unnecessary but from what I understand he is no savage! Oh, and the govt. check comment is unnecessary!Lock him up but to put him to death......I think there are many others that deserve that before him!

This is only half of what we have had to deal with since Bell county officials decided to open up Killeen to Katrina victims. Here we are once again bet he is from New Orleans they always are. Our homes are being burglarizes, our cars vandalized, things stolen out of our yards. It is becoming way too much. I am praying that one of those fools run up on me, KPD will need the long form and the yellow tape. Hope he is caught soon before he kills someone.

get a job and stop taking from others. I hope he's ready to give it up without a fight !!!!

Sounds like another thug, hopefully soon, will be off the streets. What a low life to rob a pizza deliveryman. That is the stupidest thing I ever heard. Lock him up.

What is it with these teenage hoodlums, anyway?

I'm surprised some idiot hasn't yelled "racist" at this report since the first 2 words of his description is "He's black" even though we see the pic. lol Yep, another loser and thug of the streets.

Don't blame him! I'm sure that, somehow, this is all Whitey's fault.

Another thug off the streets. Maybe his momma didn't give him his part of their government check.

Too bad the delivery driver didn't have a concealed carry permit... this savage doesn't deserve to be breathing.
