(August 29, 2008)—An arrest warrant charging aggravated robbery has been issued for Monterrio Bett, 19, in connection with the Aug. 12 robbery of a Killeen pizza deliveryman who was struck in the head with a metal bat.
Killeen police said Friday Bett should be considered armed and dangerous.
The warrant stems from the Aug. 12 robbery in the 4400 block of Jeff Scott in Killeen.
The deliveryman told investigators a man who asked if he was delivering pizzas approached him around 11 p.m.
He said he told the man he was, and then as he got out of his vehicle to get the pizzas, the man hit him in the head and took his money, cell phone and keys.
The deliveryman, who was not identified, was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he was treated and later released.
Police said Bett also goes by the name Terry.
He’s black, stands about 5-foot-11, weighs about 180 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
Investigators are asking anyone who knows his whereabouts to call Killeen Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477 or the Killeen Police Department at (254) 501-8830.
