(May 11, 2006)—Fires damaged three Central Texas homes Thursday, keeping area departments busy.

A fire that broke out just after 8 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Jack Rabbit Road and Paddy Hamilton Road in Nolanville gutted a mobile home.

Several departments responded to the fire.

No one was injured. The cause is under investigation.

Another fire early Thursday morning destroyed a home that was being renovated by a man who planned to move his mother into the house over the weekend.

Fire crews from Bellmead and Lacy-Lakeview responded to the call.

Later Thursday morning, firefighters from Woodway and Hewitt responded to a fire in a house in the 100 block of Russell in Hewitt.

A neighbor called 911 after seeing flames leaping from the back of the house.

One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
