Four Texas Soldiers Held In BB Gun Shootings Save Email Print

A | A | A

(October 5, 2008)—Four Fort Bliss soldiers have been arrested and charged with felonies in connection with a recent BB gun shooting spree in El Paso that left one man wounded.

Police made the arrests a week after residents reported that vandals had been driving around shooting at residential windows, vehicles and at least at one person.

Ruben Dario Hernandez, Jr., 20, Garrett Robert Moody, 19, Zachary Cole Folsom, 17, and Kelly Carlson, 19, were taken into custody on post in cooperation with Fort Bliss authorities, El Paso police spokesman Javier Sambrano said.

He told the El Paso Times that each soldier faces a first-degree felony charge of engaging in organized criminal activity-aggravated assault with a deadly weapon since they allegedly worked together to shoot a man with the BB gun.

The Military needs to rise their age requirements, too many little boys are trying to do a man's job. It also starts at home, train your child in the way that they should go and when he or she is older they will not depart from it. I don't believe in child abuse but however well disclipine children become productive adults.

This is just sad to hear, i recently had 2 of my family members join the military, and i just hate to hear about silly acts of violence from soldiers who apparently may have just finished basic training, did they not learn anything, I hope and pray that they learn from this mistake

I bet they get discharged from the military also
