(October 5, 2008) - Temple police are investigating two robberies, one reported at a home, another at a Cefco store overnight Saturday.

The first robbery happened at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of 33rd Street.

A man was returning home and unlocking his door when a white heavy-set man came up behind him, knocked him down and took his wallet.

The suspect was wearing blue jeans and a light blue work shirt.

The other robbery happened at about 1 a.m. at a Cefco store on SE HK Dodgen Loop.

A white man about 5'10", 150 lbs., walked into the store with his hand covered with a towel.

The suspect demanded money from the clerk.

When the clerk shut the cash register drawer, the suspect took the drawer and left the store driving an older model tan truck.

The suspect reportedly has sandy brown hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

Temple police are looking for more leads in these cases and ask anyone with information about the robberies to call (254) 298-5500.
