(October 15, 2008)—Killeen police Wednesday identified the Fort Hood soldier whose death is the focus of a homicide investigation as E-6 Ryan Michael Sullivan, 24.
Police found Sullivan’s body Tuesday at a town home at 3405 Girard after military officials asked for assistance in checking on the soldier, who had failed to report for work.
“The preliminary investigation revealed signs of foul play and detectives are investigating this death as a homicide,” police said in a press release Wednesday.
An autopsy has been ordered.
The crime scene investigation was delayed for about four hours Tuesday while police awaited permission from the person who leased the town home.
