Weather Likely Factor In Deadly Head-On Collision Save Email Print

A | A | A

(October 16, 2008)—The weather was likely a factor in a head-on collision late Wednesday afternoon that claimed the life of a 49-year-old Central Texas woman.

Catherine Diane Ucciferro of Rosebud died when her vehicle hydroplaned on Highway 77 and veered into the northbound lane where it collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Dale Hoelscher, 41, of Rosebud.

Ucciferro was ejected from her vehicle, investigators said.

Hoelscher was taken to an area hospital with what authorities said were non-life-threatening injuries.

catherine was my mother. To those of you who make comments without thinking about what you're saying first, really need to be more considerate. My family and I are having a hard enough time without hearing your negative, iggnorant comments. Yes, it was a wet road and that DID play a factore. Ms. Irene, she was not an unsafe driver, know some facts first please! To everyone who has shown my family support and love, thank you and it is greatly appreciated. My mother was my best friend. A great mother, wonderful wife, and beautiful person.

Why is the WEATHER always blamed? The Weather did NOT drive the Car, I think People should take more care in driving, when there is bad Weather.
