(November 24, 2008)—Fort Hood Staff Sgt. Derrick Eugene Richardson, 37, has died in a one-vehicle accident during a visit to his home in Evergreen, Ala., the post said on Monday.

Richardson, who deployed in July 2008, died on Nov. 17, Fort Hood said, but his name wasn’t released until this Monday.

He was assigned to the division’s 1st Battalion, 26nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team.

Omg! How horrible! Im praying for this "hero" and his family. May they know that their loved one has laid down his cares, and now rests in the arms of Jesus.
