Head-On Collision Leaves One Dead
One man died and another was injured in a head-on collision on a rural stretch of state highway in Central Texas overnight.

(December 19, 2008)-- One man died and another was injured Thursday night in a head-on collision on a rural stretch of state highway in Robertson County.
It happened around 7 p.m. Thursday on State Highway OSR (Old San Antonio Road) five miles east of FM 46 in Robertson County when Russell Galipp, 26, of Flint pulled out to pass another car.
Galipp’s Chevrolet sedan collided head-on with a Mazda driven by Rosendo Botello, 52, of Normangee.
Botello was pronounced dead at the scene.
Galipp was flown by helicopter to St. Joseph's Regional Health Center in Bryan with a broken leg.
He was released from the hospital Thursday night.
