(December 29, 2008)—Some questions may never be answered about a fiery 18-wheeler crash Friday on Interstate 35 that claimed the life of the truck’s driver, Spencer Willard Casebolt, 57, of Bella Vista, Ark.

Casebolt was driving north Friday afternoon on the interstate when his truck veered off the highway into the median between Troy and Bruceville-Eddy.

The truck traveled about a mile in the median until it reached a creek, went airborne, plunged into a ravine, hit a concrete embankment and burst into flames.

The fire consumed the truck and its load.

Casebolt was so badly burned that an autopsy could not be performed, authorities said.

Sounds like he might have had a heart attack or something. Otherwise he'd probably have tried to get out of the median before he hit the ravine. Prayers to the family and friends and may he rest in peace. Also glad no one else was hurt.
