To the family of SSG Marsh, my heart goes out to you. He was a good man who always tried to help others. I am sorry I was not there to help him. He will be missed.

I remember one time I went to a party and told the owner i would watch his house while he left because he thought the cops were coming.well he was right. They came.My mom had no car to pick me up in...so Marsh came.He seemed to cool my mom so she wasn't totally flipping out.I mean she was still ticked but he made her laugh. That was one thing that never faded. His personality. Kevin Marsh was a great person. He was the kind of person that would drop everything to come help a family member or friend. its gonna be so hard to tell my mom because of the feelings that were shared. Whatever happened to Kevin..he did not deserve.R.I.P. Sweetheart

my husband servedone of his Iraq tour with SSG Marsh. This was such a shock. I don't know that it would be suicide and for people to just assume that is out of line.

I dated this guy 8 years ago. He was very upstanding, but had some issues. I live about 700 miles away and can't find out too much information on here. Do they know that it was suicide for sure? He loved his kids more than anything in the world. I knew his daughter, Katie, and she was his life.

my guess is Ft Hood has a problem with soldiers drinking too much or doing drugs! That is not Ft Hoods fault. Maybe this guy just died of natural causes. Why is it if someone is found in their home dead no one asks the same questions about their job? My heart goes out to the Family irregardless and I will wait for more information and not blame Ft Hood because some people do things they should not or have natural causes that refuse to take orders from the general *sheesh*.

My condolences to the family. Thank you for the service this man gave to our Country. To C: I'm sure more details will be forthcoming, but for now we have no way of knowing that this death had anything to do with Ft. Hood or with this man being a soldier. People die everyday, whether they are soldiers or not. Because Ft. Hood is so close to us, it is natural that we hear more about people who die there than those who die at other military bases.

These deployments are stressing these guys out. non combat deaths are coming up faster than the motorcycle accidents around town. Obama - plese help these soldiers out. They are a great deal in our lives.
