(January 26, 2009)--The power was back on Monday afternoon in several Central Texas communities, after hundreds of customers spent part of the day in the dark.

OnCor says power was restored just before 3 p.m. Monday for residents in Little River, Holland, Bartlett, and Granger.

OnCor said the foggy weather contributed to the outages, as did a number of pole fires on a transmission line that runs from Temple to Granger.

OnCor says the foggy weather, a lack of rain, and dust on the top of transmission boxes caused the outages.

In all, OnCor says outages affected 960 customers in Little River, 930 in Holland, 875 in Granger, and 114 in Bartlett.

OnCor says the power went out at 11:30 a.m. Monday morning.
