Fire Destroys Central Texas Church

REAGAN (February 17, 2009)--A midday fire on Tuesday burned a church building in Reagan to the ground.

When firefighters from Reagan and nearby Bremond arrived at the scene, the Friendly Church of God in Christ was all but destroyed with just remnants of fire burning in several places around the church's foundation.

About 20 to 30 members attended services at the church.

On Tuesday a spokesman told News 10 they would seek another place to worship at once.

Volunteer firefighters from Reagan fought the blaze for some time but were unable to save the structure.

The fire was reported to Falls County dispatch via the 9-1-1 system, according to a sheriff's office dispatcher.

The cause of the fire in under investigation.

God bless the friendly church and its pastor and wife those that did this terrible thing we prayer for you those of you that have seen this house of God please donate to this church your no gift is to small thanks and may God richly bless you for your effort.

it happened because of racism no offence but some white people who dont like blck people did it and before this they made racial slurrs about them and wrote it on the church and even try to catch the carpet on fire.. until they got carried away and just burnt the whole church on fire and just wait till they get judged by God they'll be the ones in the fire crying for mercy!i think everyone should give a donation to them to build a new church!!thnks.
