(October 26, 2006)—Postal workers will picket the Highway 6 Post Office Thursday in Waco in protest of a possible move of a major mail distribution facility to either Austin or Dallas.
The US Postal Service is still working on a study that will determine whether the distribution center should be moved.
A spokesperson said earlier this week the study isn’t finished and no decision has been made.
Members of the local Postal Workers Union say the plan would result in “significant delays in mail delivery and pick up times and the loss of Waco’s postmark.”
