WACO (July 3, 2009)—Police seized eight gambling machines Thursday in a raid on a Waco convenience store.

Police served a search warrant Thursday at the EZ Mart at 3600 Bagby Ave. after receiving reports of illegal gambling at the business.

Investigators determined there were several eight-liner gambling machines in the store and that the payoff to winners was “not within the guidelines of state law,” police said Friday.

Police seized eight gambling machines, paperwork and cash.

No arrests were made, but the investigation continues, police said.

To the next best thing;hewitt, The Indians in El Paso also had a good Casino years ago, and the Texas Attorney General also shut it down,, and the 'Bill' to make Casinos in Texas was brought up for vote several months ago and was 'barely' defeated. but the LOTTO Commission is stupid and a failure, so bring on the Casino's and Hotels for the revenue!!!

Someone Near-Here, The Coushatta tribe opened a casino outside of Livingston Tx a few years ago. The state hurried up and shut them down. In other news....Another fine job by waco's finest. It's gotta be something more going on than somebody playing 8 liners.

The State of Texas needs to get smart enough to just legalize some gambling so the State could control it and reap the money it would make for them. I'll be glad when the Governor and Legislators get some sense!!!!! Bring on the Casinos/hotels!!!!!
