FORT WORTH (July 10, 2009)--U.S. Rep. Kay Granger is out of the hospital after treatment for dehydration.

Spokesman Steve Dutton says the Fort Worth Republican was discharged from a Washington-area hospital Friday and is doing fine.

She was been admitted Wednesday night.

Dutton says the former Fort Worth mayor is scheduled to attend a Saturday ceremony in Wisconsin marking the start of construction on the USS Fort Worth.

The new combat ship named for the Texas city is to be delivered to the U.S. Navy in 2012.
