(March 7, 2007)--Police say they found the bodies of two young children no older than toddlers were found wrapped in plastic bags under a house in southwestern San Antonio.

Residents of a triplex were searching under the house after smelling a foul odor late Tuesday night.

Police Sgt. Gabe Trevino says they called police after finding a plastic bag containing the decomposing body of a small child.

When police arrived, they found a second child wrapped in plastic.

The medical examiner will determine the children's ages, gender and cause of death.

But Trevino says investigators believe the children were between the ages of six months and two years.

He says two children about that age lived in the complex until several weeks ago, but the adults there have since moved out.

Trevino declined to release details on the adults at the complex, but he says police know who they are and are looking to speak to them.
