LAVON (November 20, 2009)--Three people died and three others were injured Friday in a head-on collision between a sport-utility vehicle and a minivan on a rain-slick north Texas highway.
The crash happened about 10 a.m. Friday on Texas 205, just south of Texas 78 on the western outskirts of Lavon, 25 miles northeast of Dallas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said it was raining when the northbound SUV crossed into the oncoming lane and slammed head-on into the oncoming minivan.
Three of the four people in the minivan were killed.
A toddler in a child-safety seat survived and was taken to Children's Medical Center at Dallas.
Two people who were riding in the SUV were also taken to hospitals.
The conditions of in the injured weren’t immediately available and the names of the victims weren’t immediately released.

The three adults were a man, his wife and their 42 year olddaughter, and the 4 year old had a broken arm, but lived. And it was on a rain soaked Highway. The other two, (35 and 15) people were o.k.
