Child Injured In Pit Bull Attack
Bellmead police say a 1-year-old child was attacked and injured late Wednesday by a pit bull.

BELLMEAD (November 26, 2009)--Police responded late Wednesday to a call of an animal attack in the 2800 block of Parrish Street in Bellmead.
When officers arrived on the scene the found a 1-year-old child had been attacked and bitten by a pit bull.
The child was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco for treatment.
Police late Wednesday did not release the child's name or condition.
The dog was removed from the residence for quarantine by Bellmead Animal Control officials.

And pitpackcom, how do you know how Clifton Merritt gathers his research???? Do you know him??? DogBiteLaw is run by a lawyer that makes a living off of the fears of people relative to dog bites. Do you really think that is a credible source for information on dog bites? As for the Clifton report; the first line says, "Compiled by the editor of ANIMAL PEOPLE from press accounts ..." YOu would have known this had you taken the time to actually read the report rather than blindly accept what you read on DogsBite and other propaganda sites.

The sad thing is that this probably wasnt even a pit bull, but some terrier mix, or any other breed for that matter, that they wanted to be a pit bull. And now theres more ignorant anger and prejudice spreading as a result.
