LOTT (November 28, 2009)--A traffic stop led in the Falls County town of Lott led to a possible break in two burglary investigations.

Lott’s police chief pulled over a vehicle occupied by two men at Highway 320 and 8th Street in for speeding.

As he questioned the men, he noticed both were acting suspicious so he searched the vehicle and found marijuana, methamphetamine, and several items including a safe, some jewelry, and computers.

About the same time a Falls County deputy responded to a burglary call.

After speaking with the Lott chief, the officers determined the burglary call could be related to the vehicle and the items inside of it.

Another burglary is being investigating in connection with the recovered items.

Both men in that vehicle were arrested.

They were charged with possession of a controlled substance but additional complaints could be filed.

That would be nice. I hear Chief Hamilton is about to bring on some pretty experienced people. Sounds like an up and coming small department.
