Searchers Find Body Of Texas Woman Missing Since August

(September 18, 2007)—Searchers Tuesday in New Braunfels found the body of a woman missing since Aug. 11.

Jessica Birge’s body was still in the Suzuki Grand Vitara she was last seen driving when the crew of a police helicopter spotted the vehicle in the Guadalupe River Tuesday afternoon.

Divers recovered the body.

Police haven’t ruled out foul play, but say it appears the car ended up in the river as a result of an accident.
