Fire Leaves Local Family Homeless

MARLIN (February 11, 2012) -- Officials are investigating after a early morning house fire left a family homeless.

The fire started just after 9 a.m. Saturday morning at a home off Clark St. in Marlin.

When firefighters arrived, smoke could be seen inside.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

The fire gutted the entire home, leaving only chard remains of the families possessions. 8 people lived at the home.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family.

Investigators believe the fire started in the attic.

No injuries were reported.
