Fort Hood: Fight Moves Inside The Ring

FORT HOOD (February 13, 2012)-From overseas to inside the ring, soldiers across Fort Hood are getting ready for the Fort Hood 2012 Combative Tournament Championship.

More than 400 soldiers are expected to participate.

The preliminary fight will begin at 9 a.m. and will last until 5 p.m. starting Monday.

The finals will be held from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday.

During the three-day competition, fighters will compete following a specific set of rules, and through a process of elimination, reach the final round.

The event is open to the public, free to attend and will take place at the Abrams Fitness Center.

The tournament is meant to determine the Army's best fighters, and further instill a Warrior mindset across all ranks and formations in the Army.
