Jeep Veers Off Local Highway, Crashes Through Wall Of House

WACO (February 3, 2012)—A Jeep whose driver may have suffered a medical problem Friday evening veered off Highway 6 and crashed through the wall of a house just outside of Waco.

The accident was reported at around 5:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Highway 6 and Speegleville Road.

The woman driving the Jeep was headed north on Highway 6 at the time of the accident.

Authorities say she lost control of the vehicle, which veered into the median.

She then over-corrected, which caused the Jeep to veer off the highway, across the access road, between two trees and into the side of the house.

One person who was home at the time said it sounded as if the house had exploded.

Nobody was hurt.

Paramedics checked out the driver at the scene and then relatives took her home.
