ORLANDO, Fla. (September 2, 2011)--A Florida judge is considering whether Casey Anthony should pay the cost of investigating the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter.

Anthony, 25, was acquitted in July of murder charges, but was convicted of four counts of lying to authorities.

She told officers a babysitter had Caylee.

Authorities learned the babysitter never existed, but the investigation drained manpower.

Several agencies, including the sheriff's office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement, filed expenses of more than
$517,000.

The judge is hearing their arguments for why Anthony should pay those charges.

Anthony, who was not expected in court Friday, is serving probation in an undisclosed county in Florida.

Her attorney is appealing the lying conviction and may ask the judge to hold off deciding about the payment.
