Local Man Charged In Nearly A Dozen Burglaries

COPPERAS COVE (February 10, 2012)—Larry Cornelius Davis, 24, of Killeen, has been charged with 11 counts of burglary of a habitation, three counts of theft of firearms, and one count of stealing/receiving stolen checks in connection with 11 burglaries since November 2011 in Copperas Cove, police said Friday.

His bonds total $583,000.

Davis was arrested on Tuesday on an outstanding municipal warrant after a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Terrace Drive.

His 1999 Honda Accord was impounded and investigators recovered stolen property from the car, police said.

Investigators recovered more than $3,000 in stolen property including electronics, jewelry, antiques and checks, police said.

Firearms stolen in the burglaries have not yet been recovered, police said Friday.
