Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Is Coming Up

By: Brent Taylor Email

(April 22, 2011)- In an effort to limit prescription drug abuse and theft, the Drug Enforcement Administration is again sponsoring a "National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day" on April 30 in which several local police departments are participating.

The program is designed to make it easy for residents to turn in prescription drugs anonymously with no questions asked.

Last year, more 242,000 pounds of drugs was turned in across the country.

Waco's drop-off location will be at the police station at 721 N. 4th St.

Temple residents can drop off their unused prescription medicines at the police department at 209 E. Avenue A.
