Worker Dies In Accident At Texas Port

TEXAS CITY (February 13, 2012)—An autopsy was scheduled Monday after an industrial accident at a Southeast Texas port killed a worker.

The victim was identified as Virgel James Stoker, 26.

He was killed in an accident Saturday night at the Port of Texas City, at a Dallas Group of America Inc. site.

Homeland Security coordinator Bruce Clawson said investigators are trying to determine the cause of the accident.

Clawson said Stoker was working on equipment used to package products.

He was taken to a Texas City hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
