WACO (October 9, 2013)—Flu and pneumonia vaccinations are now available at the Waco-McLennan County Health District Immunization Clinic at 225 West Waco Drive.
The shots, which cost $20-$25, are available from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays, and from 10 a.m. until noon on the second Saturday of each month.
The flu vaccine has been approved for everyone from 6-months of age and older including pregnant women.
Those at highest risk of getting the flu who should be vaccinated include those 65 and older, regardless of health, residents of long-term care facilities, residents from 2 to 64 years of age with chronic health problems, children from 6 to 23 months of age, pregnant women, health care workers, and those who live in homes of children younger than 6 months of age, as well as child care providers.
