(September 27, 2012)—The confirmation of two more cases of West Nile virus pushes the total number of cases in Central Texas to more than 70.
The Waco-McLennan County Health District said Thursday two more cases have been confirmed, pushing the total in the county to 44.
A man in his 80s died from the virus in the county, officials said.
Bell County reports a total of 11 cases and two deaths.
Coryell County has reported one case, Freestone one, Hill two, Limestone three, Navarro seven and Robertson two, according to the Department of State Health Services website.
