(October 3, 2013)--Free flu shots are available for area veterans at both the Waco and Temple Veterans Administration Hospitals.
All veterans in the VA health care system are eligible for the free vaccinations.
A walk-in flu vaccination clinic will be set up every Thursday and Friday from now until Nov. 1.
At the Olin E. Teague Veteran's Medical Center in Temple, walk-in hours will be from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Teague Tower.
The Waco VA Medical Center will begin free walk-in vaccinations starting Oct. 15.
Veterans can get flu shots from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Building 4.
A drive-through clinic will also be held at the Temple Campus on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Valet Parking area.
Operations at VA hospitals aren’t affected by the partial government shutdown.
