NEW YORK (May 5, 2014) Older mice got stronger, exercised longer and performed better mentally after they were injected with blood from young mice, or even just with a substance that's more abundant in younger blood, researchers say.
If the research goes well, it may someday lead to a way to treat some infirmities of old age in people but in the meantime, scientists warn that people shouldn't try this themselves.
The mouse work was reported online Sunday in three papers in the journals Nature Medicine and Science.
