WHITNEY (October 4, 2012)--The family of a Central Texas woman who has been missing for more than two weeks says she may have been looking for work in Waco.

Katrina Beltran, 50, who goes by Kat, left a note for her daughter on Sept. 17 that said she was going to look for work in Waco, but she never returned.

Beltran was living with her adult daughter in Whitney at the time of her disappearance.

A protective order was issued this summer against her husband after his arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence, authorities said.

Police questioned the man, who lives in Burnet County and have been talking to others who may have some information about her whereabouts, authorities said.

Beltran was working at the Country Roads sports bar in Whitney at the time of her disappearance.

She’s 5-foot-2, weighs 165 pounds and has hazel eyes, brown hair, and a scar across her left cheek and chin.

She drives a 2002 Dodge Stratus.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to call Whitney police at (254) 694-2638.
