SUV Plunges Off Road Over Dam; Driver Taken To Local Hospital

BELL COUNTY (April 22, 2014) One man was injured Wednesday when he was ejected from the SUV he was driving after the vehicle veered off a road across a Central Texas dam.

The man, who wasn’t immediately identified, was taken to Scott & White Hospital in Temple with what authorities described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The man was driving north on FM 1670 across the Stillhouse Hollow dam when his SUV veered into the southbound lane, hit a guardrail and plunged off the road.

He wasn’t wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
